Representatives of the Higher School of Tourism and Hotel Services within ASEM, together with the Information and Promotion Center in the Field of Tourism in the Republic of Moldova, trained in the field of personal data protection
On September 9th, the National Center for Personal Data Protection (CNPDCP) organized a training course dedicated to representatives of the Higher School of Tourism and Hotel Services within ASEM, in collaboration with the Information and Promotion Center in the Field of Tourism in the Republic of Moldova. The purpose of the training was to inform, familiarize, and raise awareness among economic agents in the tourism industry and the HoReCa sector about the new legal provisions in the field of personal data protection. The session covered essential aspects such as general notions regarding personal data, legal grounds for data processing in the context of tourism activities, types of personal data, principles of data processing, data subject rights, impact assessment on personal data protection, etc. Additionally, details regarding data processing during consumer/tourist registration and verification, specific documents and contracts related to tourism and HoReCa activities were discussed. Special emphasis was placed on identifying and preventing risks associated with unauthorized access to personal data, unauthorized disclosure, and improper use, with practical examples and recommendations aimed at strengthening compliance and responsibility in the professional activities of tourism industry agents. The event was organized at ASEM headquarters, with the participation of 84 representatives.
