Known Best Data Protection Officers of 2025
At the conclusion of the international conference Privacy Days Prague 2026, the results of the Best Data Protection Officer of 2025 award, organized by the Association for Data Protection, were announced. The expert jury selected the best officer for the eighth time this year, a person who oversees the compliance of data controllers or processors with legal regulations, primarily the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and also serves as a contact point for data subjects and supervisory authorities. Vladan Rámiš, chairman of the Association for Data Protection and member of the expert jury, commented on the results: "As has become tradition in the Data Protection Officer of the Year competition, this year's result was very close, as many excellent officers were nominated. We are also pleased that this award continues to develop and that, in cooperation with our Slovak partner, the Association for Data Protection, we can announce the best officers in both the Czech Republic and Slovakia. I would also like to thank our vice-chairman, František Nonnemann, for organizing this award." This year, the award was also supported by Jiří Kaucký, chairman of the Office for Personal Data Protection. Representing the Office, David Burian, director of the Department of Accreditations, Consultations, and Data Transfers, stated: "The award reminds us of the importance of the work of data protection officers."
