Vanilla: Criminal charges against nine individuals for abuse of cocaine and marijuana; misdemeanor charges against 10 individuals

Officers from the Podgorica Department of Security – Criminal Police Station for Drug Control, after months of complex activities to combat drug abuse and identify suspects involved in street drug sales, in coordination with the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica and on the order of the prosecutor, filed criminal charges under the code name "Vanilla" against nine suspects for marijuana and cocaine abuse. During these activities, police seized approximately 43 kilograms of marijuana and about 900 grams of cocaine intended for street sale, which after operational, criminalistic, and forensic measures led to the identification and prosecution of nine suspects. Due to suspicion of committing the criminal offense of unauthorized production, possession, and trafficking of narcotics, criminal charges were filed against G.M., E.B., N.D., D.R., D.R., D.P., A.B., and I.B. in the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica. Additionally, during the same activities, police submitted 10 misdemeanor reports against 10 individuals for violations of the Law on Prevention of Drug Abuse. The police will continue to intensively implement activities aimed at discovering and prosecuting all forms of drug-related crime, with a special focus on persons involved in procurement, smuggling, distribution, and trafficking. Through continuous and decisive action, in cooperation with the relevant state prosecutor's office and other institutions, the police will continue to take all legally prescribed measures to combat drug trafficking and ensure the safety of citizens throughout Montenegro.
