Important Notice Regarding Threatening Emails Sent to Institutions
The National Authority for Cybersecurity (AKSK) informs the public that this morning, October 9, 2026, several central and local public administration institutions received emails containing threats. Following an analysis conducted by AKSK’s technical structures in coordination with the State Police, no risk to the safety of individuals or institutional infrastructure has been identified. The messages are part of a coordinated campaign that follows a pattern observed in the past and aims to spread disinformation and cause chaos. The emails are distributed massively to addresses published on institutions’ official websites and other online sources. The use of these addresses does not imply access to institutional systems or accounts. * Do not reply to the emails or forward them to other people inside or outside the institution.
