Over 2,500 inspections carried out, 53 facilities temporarily closed

Tax inspectors have intensified checks on taxpayers in areas such as general tax registration, filing tax returns, recording transactions, paying taxes, and reporting workers across the entire country. In August this year, tax inspectors conducted 2,543 checks on the regularity of business operations and identified irregularities in 472 cases. Based on this, 693 misdemeanor orders were issued, with total fines amounting to 2,353,950 euros. During the reporting period, 53 taxpayers were issued temporary bans from performing their activities. To improve communication and strengthen mutual trust, the Tax Administration urges all taxpayers to comply with applicable tax regulations, properly report income, and issue fiscal receipts. Citizens are also encouraged to report any irregularities by calling the Call Center number 19707 or via the platform 'Be Responsible'.
