Budvanin arrested suspected of street drug sale; marijuana found

Police officers from the Budva Department of Security, Drug Control Unit, within planned activities aimed at suppressing street distribution of narcotics in the municipality of Budva, in coordination with the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, detained a person found with marijuana. Acting on a court order, police officers searched the family house used by B.A. and found multiple packages of marijuana weighing about 277 grams, suspected to be intended for further street sale, a precision scale, 200 euros believed to be proceeds from drug sales, and a mobile phone. Criminal investigation revealed that B.A. has been involved in drug sales in Budva over a longer period. He was detained on the prosecutor's order on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of unauthorized production, possession, and distribution of narcotics, and will be forwarded to the Higher State Prosecutor in Podgorica with criminal charges.
