Minister Radunović at the UN Political Forum on Sustainable Development in New York
Minister of Spatial Planning, Urbanism, and State Property, Slaven Radunović, participated in the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development held from 13-16 September. During his speech at the Forum, Minister Radunović emphasized the Montenegrin government's commitment to the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities). He also highlighted efforts to improve Montenegro's national framework for implementing the 2030 Agenda and establishing a system for monitoring sustainable development indicators, ensuring better decision-making. Additionally, the minister recalled numerous strategic documents contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, with special reference to the Spatial Plan of Montenegro until 2040. The High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development is one of the most important annual events organized by the United Nations. During the Forum, member states review the current status of SDG implementation and the 2030 Agenda, as well as methods to enhance their execution.
