Dukaj with heads of Czech, Austrian, and Slovak diplomacy: Together we strengthen Montenegro's cyber security and resilience

This visit sends a strong message of support for our reform path and efforts in digital transformation and security, said Minister of Public Administration Mr. Marash Dukaj during the visit of the foreign ministers of Austria, Czech Republic, and Slovakia to the Government Security Operations Center (G-SOC). The guests from the S3 countries – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Petr Macek, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Austria Beate Meinl-Reisinger, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia Juraj Blanar – learned about the functioning of G-SOC and Montenegro's capacities in cyber security. Dukaj emphasized that G-SOC, operating 24/7, is a key mechanism for continuous monitoring of public administration network infrastructure and timely response to cyber threats. He recalled that the idea of establishing G-SOC arose after a major cyber attack on government information infrastructure in August 2022. The foreign ministers then visited the Regional Center for Cyber Capacities WB3C, where they learned about its activities aimed at strengthening regional cyber resilience. "By strengthening these capacities, Montenegro positions itself as a reliable partner in protecting shared European values and as a country taking on an increasingly important role in enhancing cyber security in the Western Balkans," said Minister Dukaj.
