As part of the Montenegrin government delegation, Minister of Public Administration, Mr. Marash Dukaj, attended today at the Potočari Memorial Center the commemoration marking the 11th anniversary. Paying respect to innocent victims and expressing condolences to their families, Minister Dukaj emphasized that Srebrenica remains a lasting reminder of how far hatred, intolerance, and dehumanization can lead. It is our duty to preserve memory, because a nation that forgets innocent victims risks losing part of its own humanity. Let memory be our responsibility, and humanity our permanent choice," said Minister Dukaj. He highlighted that fostering a culture of remembrance is not only an expression of respect for innocent victims but also a shared obligation to build a society that respects human dignity, diversity, and every person's right to live in peace and security. Montenegro remains committed to nurturing the culture of remembrance, promoting values of peace, dialogue, and mutual respect, convinced that only through truth, responsibility, and solidarity can a safer future be built for the generations to come.
