Training Course for Data Protection Officers
On August 6, 2026, the National Center for Personal Data Protection (CNPDCP) organized a new training course for individuals appointed by operators or authorized persons as Data Protection Officers (DPO). The activity is part of CNPDCP's ongoing training program and aims to strengthen the knowledge and develop the professional skills of those exercising the DPO role, in the context of the new regulatory framework for personal data protection. During the training session, current topics regarding the status and responsibilities of Data Protection Officers, appointment conditions, independence in performing their duties, cooperation with supervisory authorities, and the responsibilities of operators and authorized persons in ensuring compliance with legislation were addressed. Participants also had the opportunity to analyze practical examples and ask questions about challenges encountered in their daily activities, with clarifications and recommendations provided regarding the application of Law no. Through these training sessions, CNPDCP aims to support operators and authorized persons in implementing legal requirements and fostering an organizational culture based on respect for the right to data protection.
