Minister Ćulafić: Together with citizens, we are building a more responsible relationship with the environment. The Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development, and Northern Development successfully carried out the action "10 plastic bottles or cans for one seedling" in Nikšić today, during which around 300 seedlings were distributed, and citizens collected over 3,000 pieces of packaging waste. The event was attended by Director of the Nikšić Communal Company Nemanja Vuković, Director of the NGO Ozon Aleksandar Perović, and representatives of the Municipality of Nikšić, who supported this initiative aimed at raising awareness about proper waste management and environmental protection. Minister Damjan Ćulafić emphasized that today’s action is part of the "Green Renewal" campaign, which is being implemented across Montenegro to raise citizens' awareness about environmental protection and responsible waste management. Director Vuković highlighted that such initiatives are excellent examples of cooperation between institutions and citizens, stressing that proper waste management begins with each individual's responsible attitude towards their living environment. After successful implementations in Podgorica, Berane, and Nikšić, the Ministry continues its efforts in other municipalities across Montenegro. The Ministry will continue activities that encourage citizens to manage waste responsibly, develop ecological awareness, and actively participate in nature conservation, with the goal of building a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable Montenegro through joint efforts.
