Minister of Finance met with the IMF team
The Minister of Finance, Mr. Novica Vuković, met with the head of the International Monetary Fund mission for Montenegro, Jeff Dunforth, and his team, confirming the continuation of strong and substantive cooperation with Montenegro to achieve visible economic results on its European path. Montenegro continues to make significant reform progress, strengthen macroeconomic stability, and affirm the credibility of responsible economic policies. Minister Vuković and IMF mission head Jeff Dunforth discussed progress in implementing reforms, improving institutional frameworks, and strengthening public finances, in line with European standards. Vuković assessed that Montenegro is achieving stable results and overall macroeconomic stability despite challenging global conditions. He thanked the IMF for ongoing partnership and expert support, highlighting cooperation with international financial institutions that has helped Montenegro adopt responsible, sustainable, and development-oriented economic policies. It was confirmed that cooperation with the IMF will continue through a new series of expert missions planned for November, aimed at further strengthening fiscal capacity and better preparing Montenegro for the final phase of EU accession.
