Beach: Illuminated series of thefts on beaches in Sutomore and Čanj, two Serbian citizens arrested

Officials of the Bar Department of Security have uncovered a series of thefts committed during July and August on beaches in Sutomore and Čanj, identified suspects, and, upon order of the public prosecutor at the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Bar, detained Serbian citizens for criminal acts of theft. (25) from Serbia, suspected of 10 criminal thefts committed against Montenegrin and foreign citizens. Together, according to a prior plan and agreement, they stole money, mobile phones, bags and backpacks, wallets, bank cards, personal documents, as well as vehicle and apartment keys on the beaches in Sutomore and Čanj. During criminal investigation, police identified the method of committing the crimes and the roles of the suspects. It is suspected that S.K. incited the thefts by encouraging the perpetrator, transporting him in his vehicle, helping hide stolen items, and sharing the stolen money. Through their activities, police officers have documented the theft of over 800 euros in cash, nine mobile phones, bags and wallets, seven bank cards, as well as keys to apartments and vehicles, and other personal belongings.
