The course, part of the iLEGEND III project, will explore the links between human rights and the environment, focusing on the triple planetary crisis of climate change, pollution, and biodiversity loss. It is free and open to youth activists up to 30 years old from 46 Council of Europe member states, as well as from Africa and the Middle East. The target groups include informal groups; local movements; coalitions; local, national, and regional youth organizations and youth workers; youth-led groups; young women leaders; young human rights activists and defenders in the environmental field; young journalists and media workers; educators in formal and informal sectors; young leaders such as youth human rights observers, legal assistants, and environmental negotiators; young professionals; young politicians and policy advisors; and youth from communities affected by climate change and environmental degradation. The application form is available on the Environment - North-South Centre website. More information about the Youth Human Rights Education (HEY) program can be found on the HEY webpage. The announcement is published in the news section of the Centre's website and shared across its social media channels.
