Report from Public Consultations

Organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management, the Municipality of Plav, and the Project Implementation Office for the 'Integrated Development Program of the Sava and Drina River Corridors,' public consultations were held as part of the World Bank project 'Integrated Development Program of the Sava and Drina River Corridors.' The subject of the consultation was the Draft Project Task for the preparation of environmental protection and social issues documentation for the pilot project of Plav Lake rehabilitation. Vladan Dubljević, the project manager for the 'Integrated Development Program of the Sava and Drina River Corridors,' opened the consultation, presenting the project's background and main challenges in preparing such a demanding undertaking as the Plav Lake rehabilitation. Participants agreed that cooperation with the local community, experts, and relevant institutions is crucial at all stages of the pilot project’s preparation and implementation, and that comments, suggestions, and proposals will be considered in finalizing the project task for environmental and social documentation.
