Ministry of Tourism and Faculty of Architecture Signed a Memorandum of Cooperation

The Ministry of Tourism and the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Montenegro signed a Memorandum of Cooperation aimed at strengthening connections and joint actions through various forms of mutually beneficial collaboration. The memorandum serves as a basis for intensifying cooperation in areas linking tourism, architecture, and spatial development, including organizing joint activities, workshops, expert gatherings, and other projects that can contribute to the improvement of both fields. Tourism Minister Simonida Kordić stated that there is frequent interaction between tourism and urbanism or architecture at all levels. 'Architecture is an important field for tourism. Some countries have built their image and tourist recognition precisely on architectural heritage. I am glad we formalized the cooperation. Our doors are open because this ministry highly recognizes the complexity of the sector it manages,' said Kordić. She added that architecture uniquely interprets the level of culture of a community, and that well-designed space is an important segment of the overall tourist offer. Dean of the Faculty of Architecture Svetlana Perović emphasized that both tourism and architecture are interconnected and mutually influential.
