Join the Sovereign Tech Standards Network

We’re launching the Sovereign Tech Standards network to support open source maintainers shaping standards and improving interoperability at IETF, W3C, and ISO. Open standards are part of the invisible architecture of the digital world: they shape how systems communicate, how data flows, and how secure, and accessible digital infrastructure is. When standards are open, practical to implement, and developed through transparent processes, they become a shared resource that keeps the digital commons secure and accessible to all. Participation in bodies like the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF), the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) take time, expertise, and sustained engagement. The Sovereign Tech Standards network is open to active maintainers of open source digital infrastructure projects whose work connects to standards developed at the IETF, W3C, or ISO. Because open source maintainers help translate standards into real-world software and often work in areas where standards are still emerging or incomplete, their participation in standards work directly strengthens the systems we all depend on.
