Kordić in China: Culture and Tourism as a Bridge Between Montenegro and China

For the World Civilizations Forum Nišan 2026, which brings together representatives from numerous countries around themes of dialogue of civilizations, cultural heritage, and international cooperation. Kordić attended the ceremonial opening of this year's Festival, marking 2,577 years since Confucius's birth, with representatives of diplomatic corps, international delegations, and UNESCO Confucius Prize laureates. Montenegro, with its rich cultural heritage, authentic cities, and diverse traditions in a small area, has great potential for further development of cultural tourism. One of the key prerequisites for increasing tourist traffic is recognized as improving air connectivity, and the possibility of establishing direct air routes to Montenegro is being considered. Kordić informed her interlocutors about the importance of tourism for the Montenegrin economy and the development direction based on quality, sustainability, and year-round tourist offerings. Kordić emphasized her role as Chair of the European Commission within UN Tourism and her advocacy for experience exchange, and in this context, she presented the upcoming Interregional Tourism Forum of Europe and Asia, which Montenegro will organize in October in cooperation with UN Tourism, as a new platform for connecting institutions, the tourism industry, and investors from both regions.
