The Eighth Threat Hunting with Expanded Presence Demonstrates Increasing Operational Maturity

Last week, CERT.LV concluded an intensive three-week Threat Hunting Surge operation with expanded presence, continuing to strengthen ongoing threat hunting activities carried out in close cooperation with the Canadian Armed Forces Cyber Command (CAFCYBERCOM). The threat hunting operation involved 30 technical experts from the Canadian Armed Forces Cyber Command, Canadian Cyber Security Centre, Ireland's National Cyber Security Centre, Norway's National Security Authority, Poland's Cyber Command, and the United Kingdom's Cyber Operations and Special Operations Command. Daily collaboration allowed participants to effectively combine knowledge, experience, and technical capabilities to identify potential threat indicators in Latvian state and public institution networks, systems, and digital infrastructure. "Such operations demonstrate that cybersecurity today is a shared responsibility, where close international cooperation and mutual trust are crucial. Emphasizing the strategic importance of allied collaboration, the threat hunting with expanded presence was organized alongside a high-level official visit from Estonia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Sweden, and the United Kingdom in cooperation with the Ministry of Defence. Increasingly, partner countries evaluate Latvia's threat hunting approach as practical, adaptable, and potentially adoptable in their own cyber defense operations, thereby strengthening overall allied resilience against cyber threats."
