PU: Sentences Imposed Exceeding 1.1 Million Euros
The Tax Administration of Montenegro continues with intensified inspection oversight of taxpayers as part of activities carried out during the summer tourist season, aiming to improve tax discipline, combat the informal economy, and ensure equal business conditions for all economic entities. From January 1st, tax inspectors conducted a total of 1,476 inspections across Montenegro. During these controls, irregularities were found in 213 taxpayers, resulting in 327 misdemeanor orders with fines totaling 1,132,550 euros. Of the total number of issued misdemeanor orders, 106 offenders accepted responsibility and, in accordance with the provisions of the Misdemeanor Law, paid half of the imposed fine, amounting to 255,800 euros.
