Nikšić: Criminal Complaint Against Relative of OKG Member Due to Illegal Construction in Grahovac

Police officers from the Nikšić Department of Security today, continuing activities aimed at combating illegal construction, filed a criminal complaint against D. (47) from Kotor, residing in Grahovac, a close relative of a member of an organized criminal group, on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of building without registration and documentation in the Grahovac area, Nikšić municipality. As part of police efforts to fight all forms of environmental crime, with a special focus on suppressing illegal construction and space devastation, officers from the Nikšić Department of Security, in cooperation with the construction inspection of the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Urbanism, and State Property, and in coordination with the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Nikšić, inspected construction sites in Grahovac. It was established that D.M. illegally built a warehouse – a hall of 360 square meters, causing damage to the Montenegro budget amounting to 4,860 euros. He does not possess a building permit or construction approval, which are mandatory under Article 31 of the Law on Building Construction. The Western Regional Security Center will continue, in cooperation with relevant inspection authorities, to intensify controls and activities aimed at detecting and prosecuting illegal construction in its jurisdiction, with the goal of protecting space and the environment and combating environmental crime.
