Nikšićanin close to organized crime group arrested; during search about 30 grams of cocaine, marijuana, as well as a pistol and ammunition found in illegal possession

Officers of the Nikšić Police Department, conducting planned activities aimed at finding illegal firearms and suppressing street drug sales, and acting on the order of the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, detained N.R. (32) from Nikšić, a person close to an organized criminal group, on suspicion of committing crimes of unauthorized production, possession, and distribution of narcotics, along with illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosives. Under a court order initiated by the Nikšić Basic Court, police officers searched N.R.'s family house, during which they temporarily seized a firearm—a pistol—without proper documentation, in illegal possession, along with several pieces of ammunition. The search also uncovered about 30 grams of cocaine, a quantity of marijuana, and a precision scale, which will be subject to further expert analysis and criminal investigation. The event was reported to the state prosecutor in the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, who ordered the detention of N.R. on suspicion of committing the aforementioned crimes and instructed that he be handed over to the prosecutor within the legal deadline for further jurisdiction and proceedings.
